Power BI: grant or restrict access to reports and/or pages
From Power BI Service, to see who has access to the workspace and app, click on the 3 dots:

![]() |
Then select “manage permissions”:
By going to “direct access”, I will see who have access and the different permissions/rights:
NOTE: “report” and “semantic model” may have a different list
From here, I can add someone but I can’t delete a person (at least, not yet). Alternatively, to grant or to restrict access to a member:
- For a workspace, click on “manage access” from the main page:
- For an app, click on “update app”:
Then go to “audience”, on the right side, you can give and/or remove access:
What about pages ? Based on the type of audience, some people have to view some confidential pages and some not, in this situation, I will create multiple audiences by clicking on “new audience”:
For instance:
- In “test”, I will put management people by using the “specific users or groups” option so they can view all pages
- In “new audience”, I will only allow people to see the 2 first versions (for the other versions, I just click on the “eye” to make it unavailable) then to tell who can view them, either by selecting “entire organization” or using the “specific users or groups” option
